    Lehi- Glen S. Ferguson

    Glen Smith Ferguson, age 79 of Lehi, died February 22, 2007 at the American Fork Hospital. He was born October 4, 1927 in Provo, Utah, son of Floyd and Florence Smith Ferguson. Married Janet Wheeler, Sept. 5, 1950 in Mapleton, Utah. Marriage solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1966.

    Glen was raised in the Provo River bottoms by his loving grandparents, Thomas J. Smith and Elizabeth Agnes Baum. He has also lived in Layton, Spanish Fork, Tooele, where he worked at the Tooele Army Depot as an artillery specialist, and Lehi. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was an expert welder, blacksmith and inventor. He could make anything he imagined. He liked quilting and loved to make Christmas decorations out of beads. He was a High Priest in the LDS Church and worked as a custodian for many years. He was also an avid genealogist for 40 years.

    Survived by his wife, Janet of Lehi; four sons and two daughters, Gary (Lorneta), St. George; Larry (Susan), Kevin (Cindy), and Sherry Lyn (Paul) Custance, all of Lehi; Randy (Sandy), Washington; Annette Ferguson, Salt Lake City; 20 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by brothers, Max and Aaron Ferguson, and grandson, Bradley Ferguson.

    Funeral, Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007 at 12:00 noon in the Lehi 2nd Ward Chapel, 465 E. 300 No. Friends and family may call Monday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main, Lehi, and at the church, Tuesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery with military honors by the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

    A special thanks to all the friends and neighbors and those who brought the sacrament to his home each week.
